A Few Pretty Things in Fall

Photo of abelia shrub "Brilliantina", with leaves in yellow, red-tinted, and variegated green, red, and yellow. A blue flowered veronica is in the background.

This is Abelia “Brilliantina”, showing all her colors. Just a tiny shrub so far, but a great border accent with the blue veronica in the background.

An annual border planting with blue-flowered ageratum, white with a pink eye vinca, and light pink and magenta dianthus, between a weigela, a Russian sage, and a corten steel planter.

Three annuals that deer aren’t likely to bother, coming on fresh in cooler weather: dianthus, vinca, and ageratum.

A front door area with gravel walk and a natural growth of goldenrod and aster, making a pretty yellow and white bouquet.

Beautiful fall bouquet that sowed itself in this corner by the front door. Goldenrod and aster.
